dc.description.abstract Service-oriented architecture (SOA) enables interenterprise service interactions. Services provide platform-independent abstractions around software systems, thereby enabling interoperability between heterogeneous systems. It is supported by a tool, Chreq(Choreograpy requirements) that automatically generates messaging protocols from requirements models. Chreq also generates comments, interleaved with the protocol, to indicate points at which physical activities should execute. Several languages are emerging as standards for describing interfaces and interaction protocols that specify service-oriented systems. en_US
