Abstract:
The University of Limerick Literary Archive is a group project that aims to gather together works produced by writers from the Limerick area. The purpose of the project is to collect biographical information, along with a critical analysis of the works of our chosen authors and present it in hardcover and online. This web based resource will be accessed through the University’s Institutional Repository and will be made available to the public. For my contribution to this project, I have chosen to research the works of Darren Shan. As a lot of his books are written for children and young adults, I focus on critical material concerning children’s literature and children’s fiction. To enhance my arguments, I have also interviewed Darren Shan via email. This is included at the end of the project.
