The University of Limerick Literary Archive (ULLA) / Cartlann Litríochta Ollscoil Luimnigh is a collection of web-based resources on writers from the local region.
All of the research and writing for this project was undertaken by undergraduate students of Irish Literature at the School of Languages, Literature, Culture and Communication, as part of their Final Year Projects. Students produced scholarly essays on the literature of each writer, carried out primary archival research in order to compile biographical and bibliographical information on their writer, conducted interviews with contemporary writers, and attended readings and literary events during the year.
Students whose work appears in ULLA include Patrick Craig, Thomas Creighton, Maeve Doyle, Jim Grady, Niall Liston, Evin Maher, Kerry Moone, Avril Manifold, and Lydia Turley.
Prof Margaret Mills Harper and Dr Tina O’Toole supervised the project, and technical support was provided by Robert Hutchinson, Sinead Keogh and Ashling Hayes.
